"There is no midpoint between justice and injustice, no halfway between right and wrong. When our nation is in crisis, we are called upon to show moral courage and to take action."

Community Development Specialist and Public Servant
Lindsey has never forgotten the roots her parents and grandparents set for her. She takes the sacrifices they made for her with her as she works hard to help others as a public servant. Her mother worked to graduate college and raise a family. Her father, a native New Yorker, worked to make his Irish immigrant parents proud by serving in the Marines.
As a mother, Lindsey understands the importance of showing her daughter the same strength and drive she saw from her parents and grandparents and hopes to show her daughter, anyone can make a change.
Lindsey graduated from Wellesley College and moved to the Upper West Side of Manhattan with no job and less than $100 in the bank, but as Lindsey says, “far too much confidence that things would work themselves out.”
Lindsey went on to pursue her dream of developing public spaces as her way to make an impact in her community. She worked to manage operations and business development for New York’s iconic Bryant Park, as well as other spaces in the city.
Her experiences at Bryant Park helped to tie her even more to the community there and have had a last impression. It helped inspire her to apply to the New York State’s Human Resources portal and seek a job in economic development. She went on to become the Chief of Staff, directly overseeing regional economic development for all of New York state. Ultimately, she earned the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work directly for the Governor, helping to shape an economy and housing agenda that was innovative and inclusive of all New Yorkers.
Lindsey is taking her journey on the next step of public service to make lasting change. “I’ve spent my personal and professional life in this city. I love every inch of it. And that’s why I’m so deeply invested in fighting for it. Our district is home to the greatest symbol for freedom and democracy the world has ever known: The Statue of Liberty. She deserves a representative willing to fight for what’s right—who will swing for the fences and bring about the change we need here and now," Lindsey said.
